TweetAir Peace, a leading Nigerian airline, is set to inaugurate its service between Lagos and London Gatwick, utilizing aircraft wet-leased from Norse Atlantic Airways. This collaboration, slated to commence in April for an initial two-month term, marks Air Peace's strategic entry into the European market.
Norse Atlantic, known for its fleet of Boeing 787s and its charter operation expertise, currently extends its wet-lease services to Air Europa in Spain. The partnership with Air Peace represents a significant opportunity for Norse Atlantic to showcase its charter capabilities on a new route.
Bjorn Tore Larsen, Chief of Norse Atlantic, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting the mutual benefits of leveraging Norse's charter operations proficiency. Initially, Norse will manage the route four times a week, using Air Peace's acquired slots at Gatwick Airport, with both parties open to the possibility of extending the agreement beyond the preliminary period.
Allen Onyema, CEO of Air Peace, conveyed optimism regarding the partnership, emphasizing its role in enhancing the airline's European market presence and exceeding customer expectations.
