TweetFrom June 17 Alaska Airlines will operate 18 direct daily services out of the Everett-based airport.
Alaska Airlines is pushing ahead with its post-pandemic recovery by relaunching its full schedule from Paine Field ahead of summer.
From June 17, the airline is increasing its current offerings to 18 daily departures, covering its full allotment of departure slots at the airport. Services include four daily direct flights to San Francisco, set to resume on May 19.
Vice President of Network and Alliances at Alaska Airlines, Brett Catlin, said,
"Paine Field is a popular option for our guests flying in and out the Puget Sound region with its beautiful facility, compact size and ease to navigate – the terminal feels luxurious. We have many Mileage Plan members and elite flyers who live north of Seattle. We want to offer destinations that appeal to them while also being a convenient alternative to possible congestion to the south."

Back to service
Alaska Airlines will also be resuming its direct daily flights to Boise, Las Vegas, Orange County, Phoenix, San Diego, and Spokane. The carrier will be working in collaboration with its sister airline, Horizon Air, which will operate most of its Paine Field services utilizing its Embraer E175 regional jets.
Growing demand
Despite United Airlines leaving Paine Field late last year, the airport has become a popular hub for Alaska Airlines. Notably, in February, the carrier saw such demand from Seattle residents for sunny getaways that it launched Boeing 737-800s on its routes to Phoenix and Las Vegas.
Alaska Airlines has also noted its growing number of frequent flyer program members and business travelers in the area, adding that it has not ruled out upgrading current services to 737s and will continue to monitor demand.
CEO of Propeller Airports, Brett Smith, said,
"The challenges of the last two years across the travel industry were not unique to Paine Field, but we’ve always had a great partner in our hometown carrier, and we knew they were committed to us and the travelers of this region. We look forward to Alaska bringing their full schedule back and offering great options out of Paine Field."
