ATR, the premier manufacturer of regional aircraft, has unveiled its annual performance for 2023, marking a year of significant achievements, including a surge in aircraft deliveries and sales, an exceptional year for support and services, and the expansion of its customer base and operational routes.

In a remarkable display of resilience and growth, ATR delivered 36 aircraft in 2023, representing a 44% increase compared to the previous year. This achievement is particularly noteworthy given the ongoing supply chain challenges that have affected raw materials and component availability worldwide.

The company also reported a 53% increase in new aircraft sales, selling 40 aircraft and surpassing the book-to-bill ratio of 1. This surge in sales underscores the robust demand for ATR's advanced, eco-friendly, and cost-efficient turboprops. The year also saw ATR welcoming 11 new customers for both new and pre-owned aircraft, with over 100 transactions recorded in the second-hand market.

ATR's presence expanded globally, with 160 new routes inaugurated by its aircraft in various regions, including Asia—its most dynamic market—Latin America, and Europe. This expansion not only highlights the aircraft's operational versatility but also its role in fleet growth and replacement strategies for numerous airlines.

Financially, ATR reached a milestone with almost $1.2 billion in revenue, buoyed by a record year in support and services which contributed over $400 million. This performance signals a strong recovery and growth trajectory since the onset of the pandemic.

Looking ahead, ATR anticipates continued demand across the regional aviation sector, with significant fleet expansions projected in South Asia, South-East Asia, and Brazil. The manufacturer also recognizes emerging opportunities in the replacement market driven by increasing environmental regulations, positioning its turboprops as optimal solutions for reducing emissions in comparison to similar-sized regional jets.

Nathalie Tarnaud Laude, CEO of ATR, expressed optimism for the future, stating,

"2024 will be a year of stabilisation, paving the way for future growth. Our achievements in 2023 highlight the enduring appeal and strategic importance of our turboprops"

She further emphasized the aircraft's fuel efficiency, low emissions, and overall cost-effectiveness as key factors in their continued success.

As ATR looks to the future, its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and meeting the evolving needs of the regional aviation market remains steadfast. The company's achievements in 2023 serve as a testament to its resilience, adaptability, and the enduring value of its aircraft and services.
