Latvian carrier airBaltic is set to broaden its network from the Baltics with the introduction of three new routes for the winter season beginning in late October 2024. These additions include flights from Riga to Madeira, Portugal, from Tallinn to Kittilä, Finland, and from Vilnius to Oslo Torp, Norway, marking a significant expansion in the airline's offerings.

Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic, expressed enthusiasm for the expansion, highlighting Madeira as a unique addition that promises travelers a spectacular leisure experience. The new routes from Tallinn and Vilnius to Kittilä and Oslo are designed to cater to both leisure and business travelers, underscoring airBaltic's commitment to enhancing regional connectivity.

With a record-high number of routes operated from its home bases in 2024, airBaltic aims to significantly improve global connectivity, generating substantial passenger interest. This initiative reflects the airline's continuous market evaluation and its dedication to offering a diverse array of travel options.

Tickets for the new destinations are now available for purchase in Economy and Business Class on airBaltic's website, with prices starting at competitive rates for both service classes.

In addition to these new destinations, airBaltic plans to increase flight frequencies on several existing routes from Riga, Tallinn, and Vilnius. The airline will also extend some of its seasonal routes into the winter season, ensuring continued access to popular destinations.

The newly introduced routes will be serviced by the Airbus A220-300 aircraft, renowned for its efficiency and passenger comfort. The A220-300 features wider seats, larger windows, and more cabin space for hand luggage, alongside improved lavatories, offering an enhanced flying experience.
